The South African Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius (“SACCM”) created and maintains this Site as an information service to its Users, members and others. This Site provides general information designed to help Users and members with their own legal, business, financial, and other needs. This information is not the same as retaining experts in those fields for advice. Although the SACCM go to great lengths to ensure the information is accurate, we strongly recommend you consult an expert, including but not limited to a lawyer, accountant, financial services consultant, or other professional as appropriate. The information contained on this Site is intended for educational, background and informational purposes only.
The SACCM expressly reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to alter or amend any terms, policies, criteria, service, or information set out in this Site without notice. You shall be responsible for reviewing any such changes each time you access this Site and your continued use of this Site after changes have been posted online, constitutes your acceptance of these Terms as modified by the posted changes.

Whilst reasonable care has been taken in the preparation of this Site to ensure that the information contained herein is accurate, all the information appearing on these pages is provided without any representation or warranty whatsoever, whether expressed or implied and no liability pertaining thereto shall attach to the SACCM or its subsidiaries, affiliated entities and all their directors, officers, employees, suppliers, partners, sponsors, advertisers, agents, representatives, sub-contractors and assigns (“Affiliates”).

Changes and amendments are periodically made to the information, services, or activities contained herein and these changes shall be incorporated in any new editions of this Site. The SACCM or its Affiliates, as the case may be, retains all copyright in all material including logos and other graphics that form part of this Site.
Any use of materials on this Site not expressly authorized is strictly prohibited and constitutes unlawful infringement of the intellectual property rights of the SACCM or its Affiliates, as the case may be.
It is expressly prohibited for any person, business, or entity to gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any page on this Site, or to deliver or attempt to deliver any unauthorised, damaging or malicious code to this Site. Any person who delivers or attempts to deliver any unauthorised, damaging or malicious code to this Site or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this Site shall be held criminally liable, and in the event that the SACCM or its Affiliates should suffer any damage or loss, civil damages shall be claimed.
MEMBERS AND PASSWORD SECURITY
Registered members, in order to access some of the services on this Site, will be required to log in with a username and password that was issued on completion of the membership application form. The membership application form requests certain personal information and data. By registering, you agree that all information provided in the membership application form is true and accurate and that you will maintain and update this information as required in order to keep such information current, complete, and accurate.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for any and all statements made and acts or omissions that occur through the use of your password and account. Therefore, you must take steps to ensure that others do not gain access to your password and account. Our personnel will never ask you for your password. You may not transfer or share your account with anyone, and we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account if you do transfer or share your account.

The Site may contain links to other websites of interest which are beyond the control of the SACCM. The SACCM is not responsible for the content or quality of any of these websites. The SACCM cannot be held responsible for the protection or privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites. It is important to note that such sites are not governed by this privacy statement and you should therefore exercise caution and consider the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
RISK AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Neither the SACCM nor its Affiliates make any warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind (including, without limitation, that access to, or use of, the site will be uninterrupted, absolutely secure, complete, accurate or error free). In addition, the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information itself is not warranted or guaranteed. Use of this Site and the information contained herein is entirely at your own risk and you assume full responsibility and risk of loss resulting from the use thereof. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the SACCM and its Affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) arising out of or related to (a) your breach of your agreements, representations and warranties contained in these Terms; (b) your use of the Site (i) in violation of these Terms, (ii) in violation of any rights of the SACCM, its Affiliates or any third-party information provider, including copyright, patent, trade secret, trademark, or other intellectual property rights and publicity and privacy rights, or (iii) in violation of any applicable law, rule or regulation; or (iv) information or materials you upload or post to the Site.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAW
You will comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in connection with your participation in SACCM’s use of the Site, and will not engage in any act that has an adverse impact on the performance or availability of our programs or Site.
TERMINATING REGISTRATION OR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR SERVICES
The SACCM may in its sole discretion and at any time discontinue providing this Site or any part thereof, with or without notice.
These Terms shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Mauritius and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Mauritius.
If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed in a manner consistent with applicable law to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intentions of the parties, and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any failure by SACCM to enforce or exercise any provision of these Terms or related rights shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Except as herein provided, no waiver, modification or amendment of any provision of these Terms shall be effective against the SACCM unless the same is in writing and signed by an authorized official of the SACCM. The Chamber may modify these terms and conditions at any time upon written notice or posting to the Site. You agree that if you access and or use the Site after notification of changes in these Terms, you will be bound by all such changes.
