About the Presenters
1. Christelle Parsooramen:

Cristelle is a Barrister-at-Law and holds a BA (Hons.) in Law and Management and an LLM ( Corporate and Securities Law). She is an Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries (FCIS), a member of the MIOD and holds the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT).

Cristelle initially joined Banymandhub Boolell Chambers in 2006, before taking up employment as the Clerk of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly from 2011 to 2013. She rejoined the Chambers in 2014. Her practice areas cover various aspects of civil, corporate, banking, employment and commercial law. She has assisted various clients in their application for their occupation permits.

She has over 10 years of work experience and has worked on structured finance transactions involving international banks, financial institutions and multinational corporations. Cristelle regularly appears in disciplinary committees, and is a contributor to the World Bank questionnaire. She is also an MQA approved trainer and delivers courses in the legal field.

2. Ravi Nagpal
As a professional in the real-estate, hospitality and textile industry for almost 25 years, he has handled a diverse portfolio of businesses in a number of countries. This experience has provided him with an insight into various cultures and also with the regional and international modules of conducting business. As such, Ravi has extensive experience relating to strategic planning and change management.

Ravi has a degree in Economics from University of Bombay and a Gold Medal in Certified Hospitality Management and Administration.

3. Ken Poonoosamy
In the highly challenging and taxing function as Managing Director of the Board of Investment since September 2011, Mr. Ken Poonoosamy makes his key performance indicators part of the dashboard from which his attention never wanders.

At the helm of the national investment promotion agency, Mr. Ken Poonoosamy is first and foremost professionally accountable for the annual volume of foreign investments inflows and their channeling into sustainable quality projects that have a direct incidence on innovation, job creation and high-end employment with the attainment of a clean and sound high-income economy in view.

He heads a hundred-strong team and is instrumental in the fostering of dynamic networking among all public and private institutions. Given the uncertainties of the global market in general and the unpredictable trends of investment flows in particular, his expertise is constantly sought for the charting of policies and strategies.
