Exclusive Insights: Recap of Business Facilitation Q&A Session with EDB

We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent collaboration with the Economic Development Board (EDB) in Mauritius. The interactive session, held on February 26 at the EDB offices in Ebene, brought together industry experts, business leaders, and government officials to discuss key topics essential for business growth and development.
The event kicked off with a presentation by Mr. Sachin Mohabeer, Deputy CEO at the EDB Mauritius, who outlined the new development strategy of Mauritius. He emphasized the country's business-friendly environment, excellent ease of doing business ratings, and a range of incentives designed to attract investors. Mauritius serves as a strategic gateway for investors looking to expand into Africa, leveraging its financial services sector and network of agreements with African countries.

Richard Robinson, Board Member at the South African Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the importance of keeping members informed about new developments and investment opportunities in Mauritius. The session covered a wide range of topics, including investment opportunities in trade sectors, residential developments, agro developments, and new governmental schemes.

The event was attended by Dr. Hlamalani Nelly MANZINI, the High Commissioner of South Africa in Mauritius, who commended the initiative for facilitating dialogue and collaboration between South African businesses and Mauritian authorities.

We extend our sincere thanks to our strategic partners: Investec, ENSafrica, Stewards Investment Capital, and Sanlam, for their support.
